How We Educate
Empowering Communities with Education
At the DMFHC, we believe education is key to advancing housing equity. We offer workshops, trainings, and public presentations to help individuals, communities, and housing professionals understand their rights and responsibilities under fair housing law. Whether you’re a renter, homebuyer, landlord, or advocate, our educational programs provide the tools to promote inclusive and discrimination-free housing.
Where You'll Find Us at Work
Educational Outreach Program
Our educational outreach program is an ongoing effort to educate the public about fair housing laws and practices, and to raise awareness of DMFHC’s services. We engage landlords, realtors, property managers, tenants, homeowners, and homebuyers through presentations, workshops, classes, and clinics.
Engaging Community Agencies
DMFHC engages with the community through events, local committees, and partnerships with service agencies. We foster media relationships to highlight our work and collaborate with organizations to expand access to fair housing resources. By building partnerships with corporate and community organizations, we broaden our outreach.
Fair Housing Seminars
As part of our educational outreach, DMFHC offers regional seminars and public speaking engagements focused on fair housing laws, rights, and responsibilities. These events are designed to inform and empower a wide range of audiences, including tenants, homeowners, housing providers, and community organizations.
